We invite you to join us at our Spring Potluck! Meet fellow outdoor enthusiasts, learn news about our club, have a tasty meal and learn about old-growth trees and forests in Massachusetts.
The speaker is Bob Leverett, exectutive director & cofounder of the Native Tree Society, and president and principal old-growth forest egologist of Friends of Mohawk State Forest. His presentation will focus on old-growth forests in Massachusetts, their history, characteristics and importance. He’ll also talk about some of our outstanding individual trees here in the Bay State and how they are measured for championship competitions.
This event is for members of the AMC Berkshire Chapter (now Western MA Chapter), and for others who are interested in the outdoors and looking to get move involved with the chapter and our activities.
