August Camp 2024: Central Cascades

Date: 20‑Jul‑2024 ➢ 17‑Aug‑2024
Location: Sisters, OR
Immerse yourself in the beautiful landscapes of the Deschutes and Willamette National Forests, as well as the pristine Three Sisters and Mount Jefferson Wilderness Areas. There are miles of trails that offer some of the best views in all of Oregon – including Cascade peaks, glaciers, waterfalls, alpine meadows, summertime wildflowers, lava fields, mountain lakes, and other natural wonders.

AMC’s 148th Annual Summit

[20‑Jan‑2024] AMC's 148th Annual Summit will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024. Get ready for a day of educational experiences across four learning tracks: Volunteer Leadership; Conservation and Research; Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI); and AMC Updates. Registration opens in November 2023.

This year, we are excited to be collaborating on this event with Women Outdoor, a nonprofit that promotes women's leadership, friendship, adventure and enjoyment in the great outdoors.

FallFest 2023

[30‑Sep‑2023] FallFest 2023 is happening September 30th at Noble View Outdoor Center in Russell, MA and Mohican Outdoor Center in Hardwick Township, NJ. Please plan to join us and bring friends and family for a day of celebration of all the things we love – outdoor experiences, friends, food, and fall!

Mountain Day With The Whiskey Treaty Roadshow

August Camp 2023

[15‑Jul‑2023] AMC's August Camp 2023 will be located on a brand-new site in Oregon on private land between Sandy, OR, and Mount Hood Village. We will have great hiking around Mount Hood and in the Mt. Hood National Forest plus in sections of the Columbia River Gorge.

Appalachian Trail Community Hike to Upper Goose Pond

Laurel Day

[10‑Jun‑2023] Come celebrate laurel blossom season with us at the AMC Noble View Outdoor Center! We are reviving the Noble View Laurel Weekend tradition that started the year after the Berkshire (now Western MA) Chapter of the AMC was established in 1929. There will be family-friendly guided hikes, a Storywalk®, a campfire and a chili supper hosted by the Western MA Chapter and the Noble View Stewards Council. We will also have strawberry shortcake and marshmallows.

National Trails Day

Mother’s Day Wildflower Walk

[14‑May‑2023] Join us at Noble View Outdoor Center for a wildflower hike on Sunday May 14th at 10:00 AM. We will walk along well-established trails for an easy hike of about 1.5 miles, while we search for red trillium, painted trillium, wood anemone, columbine and many more of these early spring beauties.
