It's the time of year in New England when temperatures cool, leaves start to turn wonderful colors and the smell of pumpkin spice permeates coffee shops everywhere. But, nothing says 'fall' like the AMC Fall Festival! Join us for hikes, free food, entertainment and other fun activities starting at 11am on October 16th at the beautiful and scenic Noble View Outdoor Center in Russell, MA. All members and non-members are welcome to attend!
We are presenting a full day of activities and events for all ages and abilities! For the young (and young at heart), we will be featuring a scavenger hunt, puppet show, fairy house building and face painting. Guided hikes will be leaving throughout the morning, and no matter your pace, you’ll find one that will help you and your family explore the miles of trails surrounding Noble View.
Music will be provided by Zoe Darrow and Friends and drummer Tony Vacca, who will also offer drum lessons before his performance.
Throughout the day, you can visit the cider press (and of course participate in a cider tasting) and enjoy fresh popcorn. At 1pm we will be firing up the barbecue for hot food from the grill!
Play corn hole, paint pumpkins or participate in demonstrations and workshops by the Western Massachusetts Chapter Paddling Committee. We will also feature instruction in map reading, backpacking and other outdoors skills (TBA). And, while you are visiting Noble View, be sure to learn about upcoming winter activities and events, including cross-country skiing, winter camping on the property and overnight stays.
Please register in advance on our Eventbrite page. Participation is limited to the first 300 registrants, so be sure to sign-up early!
For questions or more information about the event or about the Noble View Outdoor Center, please email event coordinator Nancy Mack.
This event has ended, but we have lots of upcoming activities! See our activities page for things to do.
