Outdoor Festival at Noble View Outdoor Center

Registration is now open for the Outdoor Festival, a celebration of all things outdoors at Noble View Outdoor Center. Enjoy guided hikes, nature walks, and workshops on the beautiful 350-acre property. It promises to be a memorable event and a great opportunity to explore this amazing and popular facility that has been connected to our chapter since 1930.
There will be a variety of activities suitable for seasoned hikers as well as for families and children. This event is free, and sponsored by the Appalachian Mountain Club Berkshire (now Western MA) Chapter and Noble View Outdoor Center.

10:00 AM: Various hikes of 1.5 to 2.5 hours in the morning, short nature walks, hikes for families. See the beautiful trails, rivers, waterfalls, etc. of Noble View. Hikes start at 10am and shorter hikes will begin throughout the morning. 11:00 PM: BBQ -- FREE to all registered participants. You must register on our online Eventbrite system so we can plan the food. 2:00 PM: Raptor Presentation. Erin O'Connell of the Environmental Learning Centers of Connecticut, Inc. will bring three birds of prey – an Eastern Screech Owl, a Barred Owl and a Red-tailed Hawk. The focus of the program is about the birds' natural history, fun and interesting facts as well as a little about why they are now in captivity. Suitable for all ages. Erin has a background in wild avian rehabilitation, environmental education, wild, exotic and domestic animal care and years of volunteer management experience. 3:00 PM: Kids activities including a campfire and s'mores! All Day:- Music at various times throughout the day outside at the North Cabin.
