Black Heritage Trail
Celebrating Black History Month
February is Black History Month. We join with thousands of others in paying tribute to the generations of African Americans who struggled with adversity to attain full citizenship in the United States.Click or tap on the icons to learn more about the self-guided, Black Heritage Trail, a 1.6-mile walk through the heart of Boston's Beacon Hill neighborhood. Most sites along the trail are private residences. However, the final two stops — the Abiel Smith School and the African Meeting House — are part of the Museum of African American History which is open to the public.
