Third Annual Westfield River Clean-up
[31‑Oct‑2023] Join fellow Westfield River Watershed Association volunteers in our third river cleanup collaboration on November 4, 2023. We've made a HUGE dent in the amount of dumped trash and abandoned encampments, improving the recreation ability for hundreds of local residents and their families who enjoy visiting the river and walking its banks. Skirting the Westfield with AMC
[15‑Sep‑2023] AMC volunteers, Heather Wyman and Jerry Sambrook, are featured in a recent article on MassLive explaining their role as, not only trail maintainers on the New England Trail, but also to help shuttle thru hikers across the Westfield River. The trail crosses the river near Route 20 in Westfield and at times, the water level can be too high to safely wade across. MASSLIVE »

New Bicyclist, Pedestrian Safety Law
[10‑Sep‑2023] A new law requiring drivers to allow at least 4 feet when passing "vulnerable users", such as cyclists and pedestrians, went into effect this spring. The hope is that this law will lower fatalities. WWLP »
