Support EPA Action on Carbon Emissions

A public comment period is open through August 9, 2023 to help decide if the proposed rule should be adopted, and the EPA needs to hear your support for bold climate action today. AMC has been advocating for years for the EPA to take stronger action on climate change by reducing power plant emissions, which account for about 25% of our country's climate pollution. EPA's proposed plan is a much-needed step forward to tackle greenhouse gas emissions and would benefit our mountain views, water, and the quality of outdoor air. AMC's science team continues to document the changing climate in mountains across the Northeast with warming even on New Hampshire’s highest peak, Mount Washington. Our findings are part of the mountains of evidence for the urgency of climate action and reducing carbon pollution.
